“It is so nice to see a representation of people with communication difficulties in books such as this one,” writes comedian Lee Ridley, the Lost Voice Guy, in his foreword to the second edition of Clare Latham’s Book Erin and the Mouse.

Erin is an amazing young woman with severe cerebral palsy who’s had a special helping hand to maximise her communication, gaming, education and quality of life. Her journey has inspired the book Erin and the Mouse, written and illustrated by SpecialEffect Ambassador Clare Latham, a speech and language therapist who’s been a vital part of building Erin’s voice for over a decade.

Watch Clare recounting the fascinating story of Erin’s journey in the short video below:

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Clare, who will kindly continue to gift her share of royalties from the book to help the work of SpecialEffect.

The second edition of Erin and the Mouse is available from GB Publishing Org.
