Kelly really wanted to play the remastered versions of Crash Bandicoot and the Spyro trilogy, but she was really struggling to use a standard PS4 controller because of a tremor in her right hand caused by a childhood brain injury. She contacted our specialist assessment team to see if we could help.
“We headed over to Nottinghamshire to visit her with a van full of adapted gaming kit,” said our therapist Jacob, “and when she found out we’d be helping her play games again, her face absolutely lit up!”
With the help of three button switches placed by her feet and an adapted joystick on a lap tray, she quickly got the hang of her new gaming set-up and piled into Crash Bandicoot and Spyro again.
“We said goodbye as we left, but she didn’t answer because she was so engrossed in her gaming! That’s fantastic – she’s one happy gamer!”
