Here’s Alfie and his brother Harry playing together on the Xbox and having an absolute ball throwing up track dirt in Forza Horizon.
The whole family are gaming fans and Harry, who has cerebral palsy and struggles to use a controller, was getting frustrated watching everyone else have all the fun.
But our therapists Cam and Liz from our specialist assessment team have worked out a setup he CAN use. It’s a very carefully positioned special lightweight joystick combined with some button switches for braking and accelerating. Now he’s having the time of his life!
Harry can now play cooperatively with his brother, mum or dad, and the tech we’re using can give him access to any two buttons on the controller, depending on what game controls he’d like to use.
It’s an honour to be there at the start of your gaming journey, Harry!
