Hacking with Swift Live 2021 raises $61,000

We’re stunned and humbled that Hacking with Swift Live 2021 has raised an amazing $60,000 to support our work bringing joy, creativity and confidence into the lives of physically disabled people worldwide.
Hacking With Swift Live 2021 delivered three days of tutorials and workshops on all the major concurrency changes to Swift, the many improvements for SwiftUI, and more. All profits were donated to SpecialEffect,
Huge thanks also to the event’s corporate sponsors DuckDuckGo, Instabug, Backbase, Emerge and Bitrise, who contributed to the total raised.
Dr Mick Donegan, Founder and CEO of SpecialEffect, said, ” This is a truly jaw-dropping achievement and we can’t thank everyone involved enough. The donation will make a truly massive difference to the charity by enabling us to help many, many more people all over the world both directly and indirectly through our online resources and training materials. It will transform the lives of severely disabled people who need our help more than ever.”
