Let’s hear it for Jimmy Daly this weekend as he takes on a first-time 10k challenge after we helped his son Rian to play games. He’ll be taking part in the Oulton Park Running Grand Prix this coming Sunday, and as a first-time runner he admits it’s going to be a massive personal challenge.

“I only started running in February,” he said “I started by walking, then decided to go for the Couch to 5k programme. Now I’m going to try for 10k.”

“I chose to run for SpecialEffect because they helped my son Rian to play games more easily on the Xbox. He only has the use of one hand, so he was assessed by the specialist team at SpecialEffect, who’ve organised the loan of a large control pad and a one-handed joystick.”

Huge thanks to Jimmy for supporting us through his run, and we wish him the very best on Sunday.
