Man lyin in bed using games controller and button switches

Drew’s got some catching up to do! He hasn’t played on a console for over a decade because of a high spinal injury, but Gill and Jacob from our specialist assessment team worked with him to suggest and loan a custom control setup that makes the most of his limited movements. He’s already getting stuck Forza Horizon 4 on the Xbox to get back up to speed, and he can’t wait to try out Call of Duty and other games.

To max out the number of possible controls, Gill and Jacob positioned eight small button switches on a velcro tray where his fingers can reach them. Thumbstick extensions on a controller bring his left hand into use, and a head-operated switch completes the setup.

Jacob’s busy researching other open world games for Drew to try, and we’re all excited that he’s got a universe of gaming experiences waiting for him!
